In phase space, a stable system will move predictably towards a very simple attractor (which will look like a single point in the phase space if the system settles down, or a simple loop if the system cycles between different configurations repeatedly). Phase space is not (always) like regular space - each location in phase space corresponds to a different configuration of the system. This tournament I wanted to focus on my pre shot routine again - that seems to be really helping me of late, but I noticed I didn't do that too much this time. I pulled my under shirt down (the one I deliberately wore for that reason) before every shot. Ironically, my opponent is the one that has told me in the past to bear down on combos.

But, I enjoyed running the meeting and then it was down to competing! I then play Tour veteran and great player Lisa Marr for 5th. She handily outplayed me as I still was trying to shake the nerves. I then had to play a good friend of mine who usually walks all over me - has no fear against me and just free strokes against me. Then the next morning, my scotch doubles partner (and a guy who is like a brother to me), overslept and was late to his winner's side match. I complimented her after the match and I hope she took it sincerely. He made it for the one-loss side match and ended up placing 5th. But he was SUPER mad at himself, no one else. I then went to the one-loss side and played Terry Petrosino first. The match went hill-hill and so I never talked to the newbie about his slamming of cues, but I am really glad that that player shared his thoughts with me.
